Most popular choice are those plotters with a built-in AIS transceiver – a feature that many other well-known manufacturers don’t build into their plotter products. This is surprising as AIS is likely one of, if not the, greatest, contribution to safety at sea by alerting the user to possible collision dangers from other vessels, particularly if the plotter can provide AIS transmission as well as reception; all Onwa AIS equipped plotters have Class B+ AIS transmission capability. Class B+ is the latest version of AIS transmission and is superior to the old Class B system, being over twice the power (5 Watts as against 2) with other advantages.

The very practical size is complemented with a selection of professional navigation features that provide an all-round experience. Depending on your model of choice, you can enjoy the benefit of a multi-function chart plotter or one with a built in 600-Watt sonar and another that provides Class B+ AIS transmission and reception from all other vessels.
