New/old stock KP38S

This is a 5-inch chart plotter designed to run from a 5-volt supply at ultra-low power consumption. It can run for around 14 hours powered by a mobile phone bank . This special version KP-38 was intended to be a fully functioning chart plotter for an emergency situation where all power is lost and all instrumentation has failed – for example: following a direct hit by lightning or as part of a grab bag kit if the vessel is abandoned. This particular KP-38S does feel that it has itself been abandoned as it has been on a shelf in our stockroom for around 4 years and we are looking for a new owner. The plotter is new and unused, and we have added a small 12 volt to 5-volt converter so that it can be used on a 12 or 24 volt boat supply – exactly as if it were a standard chart-plotter. This model doesn't have NMEA send and receive as this is part of  its power saving design, but otherwise it is exactly the same as any other Onwa KP-38 chart plotter and will function perfectly as a low cost plotter. It has its own internal GPS modue for satellite reception and uses a small Puck type GPS aerial which is included with the product..
